Special Features of Our Hysteresis Loop Tracer / Watt-Loss Tester HLT-204
1. Measures Watt-Loss at any desired induction level.
2. Measures other parameters like Permeability, Induction, Coercivity, Remenance.
3. Can give dependence of Watt Loss on Induction and Permeability on Induction and ac magnetization curve.
4. Can take measurements on samples in the form of small washer stacks or stator stacks of motors or stacks in the form of Epstein Square .
5. Equipment is PC based and software is Windows95/98 based. Requires no special skills for measurement.
6. Easy to use, maintain and calibrate.
7. Capable of saving results of measurements and giving coloured printouts.
8. Capable of giving plots of permeability curves and ac magnetization curves.
9. Allows measurements to be done in either CGS/MKS units
The unit can take measurements on small samples in toroidal form. It can be used to take absolute measurements on CRNO samples in the form of washers and CRGO samples rolled in the form of toroids. It can also take comparative measurements on E & I laminations and punched lamination stacks.
The maximum size of the stack that can be tested is about 200mm in OD and about 150mm in height.
The unit is equipped with a Epstein Test Frame square setup wherein strips of 280X30mm and 305X30mm size and up to 1.6mm thickness having watt-loss of 0.1 to 16.0 watts/kg can be etested. The Epstein stack frame confirms to the description given in IEC 404-2. Measurements are offered at 50 Hz. The induction level at which measurements are taken is manually adjustable.
The equipment converts mains 230 volts 50Hz supply to suit the measurements. It is capable of delivering power up to maximum of 75 volts RMS and 20 amps maximum. In built power supply capable of generating ac at a fixed frequency of 50 Hz or 60Hz is offered as an option.
The equipment is PC based and operates on Windows98 platform. It uses monitor as output device while inputs are made through keyboard and mouse. Entire operation of the equipment except adjustment of ‘DRIFT' in induction measurement is through mouse and keyboard.
There are no additional meters and displays.
It takes inputs as Cross Sectional Area and Density of the material when tests are carried out on Epstein stack. For tests on samples in the form other than Epstein stack additional parameters like Mean Path Length, Primary Turns and Secondary Turns are also required.
The weighing system capable of weighing samples up to 3 kgs. With accuracy of 0.5gms. and attached to the equipment, is offered as an option.
The equipment is capable of giving measurements of all hysteresis loop parameters like Peak Induction, Permeability, Remenance, Coercivity and watt loss/kg. It displays plot Hysteresis Loop, progressive plot of watt-loss per kg against induction level, permeability against induction level and magnetization against applied field dynamically.
All the measurements can be carried out in CGS units or MKS units.
Measurements can be done with different full-scale ranges for primary current and secondary flux. This enables accurate results for all types of samples.
The display scales can be changed for all plots independently even after the measurements are over. The display can be suitably shrunk or expanded to suit aesthetic printing and presentation of the data.
The results can be stored in complete graphical form or tabulated in Excel file for creating database enabling future statistical analysis.
The details of other specific options made along with this offer are as below.
The PC is Pentium processor based. It has 101 keys keyboard, 1.44MB FDD, 20GB or more HDD, 64MB RAM and colour monitor.
The equipment has four ranges for secondary flux measurement and five ranges for primary current sensing.
